My son passed on a very cozy dog bed that his shiba inu didn't like. Well of course there was that smell on the bed when it got here and Jack has his nose glued to the bed for at least a half an hour! I finally used some "Febreeze" and that worked! He is now cozily resting on this nice cushiony bed! Awwww....
Dogs are sooo amazing! Every morning, our Aussie Jack, always greets me as if he hasn't seen me for a week! His short little tail wags and he wiggles and makes the little "mmm" "mm" sounds as if he was eating a tasty morsel! He makes me feel SO loved! And he expects that we give him that good morning hug, and won't let it go until we do. If we could only get our human counter parts to be this enthusiastic about greeting our loved ones!
My son came home early from school because he started to get a migraine headache. By 3:00 his pain was so severe that he could bear it no longer. We called 911 to get him to Emergency. I have always joked that our door bell goes, "Ding Dong Woof!" because Jack, our Australian shepherd always lets us know that he is on guard when someone comes to the door. He can be a little intimidating sometimes, and ESPECIALLY if there is a BIG truck involved. But, can you imagine, a HUGE firetruck pulled up our driveway and at least 8 big firemen with equipment came through the door, and Jack didn't say a peep! He just welcomed the Medics and led them to where his "master" (our 17 year old son, Emmanuel) lay moaning on the couch. He didn't interfere, he just knew they were there to help his master. Finally, he did bring his ball to Emmanuel as if to say, if you would just throw the ball for me ONE time, then I would KNOW everything would be OK!. Jack had a very worried look on his face as the Paramedics wheeled Emmanuel out on the gurney. At the hospital, he was treated for the migraine and since there was no other complication, we came home in a few hours. Jack was so happy to see us all come home! Whew! (Me TOO)
I showed the kids at the Diggity Dogs (Our local Dog 4H group) the kangaroo dog leads I make, and I will be teaching them to make their own show leads very soon! First we will have a practice run at it, but soon they will probably be the fanciest 4 H group around! LOL! I am really looking forward to working with this dynamic group of young people who are working hard to teach and train their dogs!
We are so excited to get started with our group of dynamic young people in our 4H group. We have all kinds of dogs, from Papillon to Australian Shepherds. This will be the last year for my son, Emmanuel, who is a senior at high school this year. I am going to miss it!
As I was posting some of the new leads I did, I realized how important the wording is. For example, I noticed that I wrote: "Warm Rich Kangaroo Lead" Hmmmm... does any one have a warm rich kangaroo that they need a lead for? Are there any kangaroo shows going on somewhere? LOL! So, when I changed it to Kangaroo Leather lead, it clarifies things a bit, don't you think?
As we ramp up for the big show on September 24, I imagine some of you will be reading this because you saw my ad in the catalog. Yay! Thanks for visiting.
I am pretty new to this site, though I have been making the leads for a long time. So I do hope that everything works properly, PLEASE let me know if it doesn't. I am a natural born communicator, so if you have any questions, or a custom order, I will get back to you in lightning speed... unless it is a Saturday.... then you might have to wait a half a day or so. If you haven't been there, please also visit my ETSY site: www.kangalulu.etsy.com Like I don't have enough to do! I am sure you ALL keep as busy as I do, but now that Kangaroo Dog Leads have become a passion, I thought it best to write a little.
I just finished a color combination that I have NEVER done before: Red, Gold and Whiskey! And this one is REALLY nice! So be sure to check this out. I don't often have RED leather on hand, and I do have a little now, but I think if YOU like it too, I may have to keep it on hand.
